Tutoring preferences and Subject matter.

Face-to-face or In-person tutoring: there are students who prefer to meet in person as they tend to grasp the lessons more effectively this way. But there are limitations as I am operating only in Los Ángeles áreas with proximity to the Long Beach regions during the week days. I am also in Loma Linda and all the regions around Riverside during the weekends. That is the limitations we face  in tutoring face-to-face.

Virtual Tutoring Preference: But technology has remove one of the barriers of limitation imposed by face-to-face tutoring, to a great degree. This results in more opportunities and choices to accomplish our academic goals. It may come down to convenience and what you prefer! So in addition to face-to-face meeting, students have the option to meet in my user- friendly, online whiteboard from the comfort of their homes.This is like a real classroom. We will write and answer questions on the board. All tutoring is done in real time or synchronously . These links are going to be enabled only with students who are using the online option. Always remember that you can try this out for free for a few minutes. A number of students have used this platform successfully. It’s very user friendly. it wouldn’t surprise me if you are enamored by its ease of use.

CLICK HERE after you are given the password to connect to the online whiteboard.  A popup window will appear after you are connected. You can just click on "set my screen name" to exit  this window. "What is your name?" is optional. Just  "close" out of the other window that appears next. A clear screen will appear with a virtual pencil on the left hand side to write. Click on the pencil and use your mouse to write with it if you do not have a writing tablet. I will familiarize you with the other features. You may note that it is very user friendly after we "walk through" the features together.

You can send the name of the text you are using with assigned sections of the questions to be answered, or any math topic you want to review for refreshing. I shall then upload the pertinent files to the online board and  we will work on them synchronously. I have helped students successfully with online tutoring. They found it  to be as effective as face-to-face tutoring.

WHAT IS TO BE EXPECTED WITH ONLINE TUTORING:

*We will VoIP or speak directly by phone to explain and answer questions in real time.
*Student can see the questions worked out on the online board in a step-by-step methodical way
*All the work can be saved by the student for review and study
