My aptitude for mathematical analysis and my inordinate passion to teach led me to pursue my first degree in pure mathematics.
Experience: Florida Atlantic University: student math tutor at the Multicultural Center. Former adjunct professor at Broward College and at Keiser University.
More Education: I later returned to the university, after about three years of teaching, to pursue a masters degree in Computer Engineering. This was in a specialized field relating to predictive analytics which encompasses a variety of statistical techniques from data modeling to machine learning. These are the techniques utilized to analyze current and historical facts to make predictions about future or otherwise unknown events. This degree path gave me great insight in real applications of mathematics in the software world.
Often times student wonder how mathematical theories are related to reality. Every branch of learning, invariable used some form of mathematical modeling or concepts. When students can understand the effectiveness of mathematics in solving real world problems, they are going to appreciate the subject greatly.
A MATH COACH WITH 12 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
On this team, the students are the academical athletes, who must achieve their mathematical goals. There is a work ethic to follow in order to succeed as success is our only choice.
